Co-moderating with author, Angela Watson, as we host an on-line summer book study (800+ members) of her book, Unshakeable: 20 Ways to Enjoy Teaching… No Matter What.

Founder and Facilitator: The Educator’s Book Club, September 2014 to Present

Facilitating 8 week-long on-line professional development book studies for 800+ educators world wide. Contacting and collaborating with authors as a means to enhance each study.

Private Teacher, August 2014 to May 2015

Teaching a Third Grade Student, resulting in improving his reading fluency from 7 wpm to 42 wpm, in addition to vast improvements in all other content standards, including number sense, operations, and measurement.

Lead Teacher: Kindergarten/2nd Grade, Charles R. Drew Charter School and Eddie White Academy, January 2012 to May 2014

Taught Kindergarten, resulting in 100% of students scoring proficient on GKIDS and writing complete thoughts with the understandings of the structure of sentences.

Proactively building rapport with each students’ parents which led to 100% participation throughout the school year via volunteer, conference, or school events.

Led initiative to incorporate SmartBoard technology into curriculum for kindergarten and 2nd grade.

Supplemental Instruction at Georgia State University, August 2006 to December 2007 

Designed and developed the curriculum for students at Georgia State University in order to improve their Japanese Language Proficiency Skills through the high-risk university courses of Japanese. All of my students passed with an average 18% higher than the class average.
